SDSU Mechatronics is a student-led  organization at San Diego State University that designs, builds, and runs automated underwater vehicles.

what we do

Our goal is to cultivate the next generation of engineers by building complex, multi-disciplinary systems. By integrating mechanical design, custom electronics, and intelligent software, we provide our members with the high-level technical environment needed to excel in the modern industry.

We are currently developing Caracara, our latest autonomous submarine. This project challenges our team to solve difficult underwater hurdles, ranging from pressure-resistant hulls to advanced navigational logic. Explore the link below to see the engineering behind Caracara and our progress so far.
